So I shouldn't have been so worried about talking to Brian about that... haha, he was completely fine with it and said he'd try to work me into the schedule this week. They're such nice people there. I like them more and more all the time.
I went to Teri's (my teacher) house last Thursday to help her with some things because she felt bad and wanted to pay me for my missed work hours last week. I'd seen them before but she showed all the ivory carvings and statues and looking close we were glad we didn't have to pack them ourselves. Some of them are sooo intricate and over 100 years old. So...
The trip to CA fell through.
My teacher Teri who was taking me was going with the purpose of taking her inherited ivory figurines/statues to an auction house out there. But it ended up that the lady at the auction house found a packer that would pack them up professionally and ship them out for way less than it would cost for us to drive out and back. So of course I couldn't be the one to cost her more than necessary....
And I did find out shortly after I posted my last journal that there was a possibility of this happening so I'm not so much disappointed as nervous about telling all everyone that it's not happening. For some reason
